There is a lot of information rolling out of the recent National Institute for Animal Agriculture meeting in Denver. Most of those will be online in the next week but I do want to call your attention to a good international economic overview of animal production in the U.S. and around the world. Dr. Terry Barr, Senior Director of the Knowledge Exchange Division of CoBank, sets up the growing importance of basic resources and where the need will be.
I also wanted to point out the Sow Housing Backgrounder National Pork Board's Sherrie Niekamp shared at the Pork Industry Forum. This is a starting point for the comprehensive study and evaluation of existing literature on sow housing options which was directed by the NPB and the National Pork Producers Council.
