Dr. Day's take aways: 1) A period of intensified feeding will advance puberty in heifers of varying breeds and environments; 2) More work needed to determine most efficient way to incorporate this knowledge into a given system; and 3) Nutritional status for the entire time from birth to first breeding can impact reproductive success.
