George Woodard Vermont Organic Dairy Farmer Talks About Farming and Education

I was very fortunate to spend a bit of time with Mr. Woodard on his Organic Dairy Farm in Waterbury, VT and it was truly one that I will talk about for a long time to come. Not only did he provide me with some interesting and enlightening stories on farming and life on the farm. There were certainly alot of out takes on this interview but at the end of the day I was certainly sitting down with a good Vermont farmer who has fun while working hard on his farm.

Hashtags are where it’s at on Twitter. We gained some huge momentum for our Tetra Pak campaign through the #chocolatemilk campaign because it put our message in front of people who really cared about the message. I love scoping out current hashtags because, just like trending topics, they let me know what people care about right now. My thought this holiday season? Let’s use hashtags for some good by showing our thanks.

One of the world’s four most important food producing regions, the United States is also blessed with human capital – our dedicated farm and ranch families. In fact, the vast array of fruit, vegetables, grains, meats and dairy products makes being an American “foodie” possible.

I am so grateful for the holidays because every year, without fail, they help me put it allll in perspective. Thanks to a huge emphasis on family, generosity and love, the petty worries and drama fall to the wayside while I revel in how much I really have to be thankful for. And it is a lot... I have my health, a roof over my head, food in my fridge, a job AND friends and family to lean on. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, below are just some of the reasons I am giving thanks this year.
