Update for February 4th, 2009
This past week was great in Phoenix, Arizona. Not only was the weather ideal but the conversations at the Cattle Industry Annual Convention were excellent. I look forward to sharing some of those conversations as well as several of the industry & issues sessions with you over the next couple of weeks.

In case you haven’t heard, a dairy producer has been selected to lead the Cattlemen’s Beef Board (http://www.beefboard.org/). Lucinda Williams (http://www.beefboard.org/members.asp?memberID=2025), a dairy producer from Massachusetts, is the new Chairman of the CBB. I think this speaks volumes to the important role that today’s dairymen and women have in not only producing great tasting milk but also in producing wholesome beef. Our congratulations to Lucinda and all of the leaders and award winners selected last week at the Cattle Industry Annual Convention.
