The PoultryCast team is covering the bases with a trip to the World Agricultural Forum (WAF) 2009 Biennial World Congress in St. Louis, Missouri, then stopping over at the Multi-State Poultry Feeding and Nutrition Conference 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The WAF boasts attendees from all over the globe providing input on topics such as The Agricultural Challenge During the Global Financial Crisis, Land Management and Food Security, and Water Resource Management for Agriculture. We’ll have programs up with links to full conference sessions at PoultryCast.com shortly.

We have arranged for follow up interviews looking at nutrition and feed management issues from the Multi-State Poultry Feeding and Nutrition Conference. Bottom line.. is the bottom line. Producers holding tightly to every nickle and pushing cost cutting measures to the quick. Some ideas to help you on economics back at PoultryCast.com.

PoultryCast® Headliners
  • CropVillage special: In the next 50 years we will have to feed 100% more people than we do today. With only 1% more available land, the challenge seems paramount. We will have to rely on technology to contribute 70% of the added food. As our business climate continues to include opposition from various groups, it is even more important that we are all using the same playbook. Jeff Simmons, Elanco Animal Health President, recently provided a great scouting report. Read details in the white paper and listen to our conversation with Jeff Simmons.
