- Reach Teach Learn Student Video Contest Help put food production in the spotlight with the Reach Teach Learn Student Video Contest. December 28 is the last day of open voting: Vote early and vote often to select the winning entry.
- Veterinarians Actively Texting, E-Mailing Nicholson Kovac, Inc. offers information on veterinarians' use of cell phone and email. The report provides additional information on new media usage among both small and large animal veterinarians. Included is report/profile data on pet owner new media usage. - New/Social Media Helping Attract Ag Students From the AP: Enrollment in bachelor's degree programs in agriculture across the country grew by 21.8% from 2005 to 2008, from about 58,300 students to nearly 71,000, according to surveys conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. So schools like Texas A&M University's College of Agriculture and Purdue Agriculture are using new and social media as part of their recruiting tool kit.
