New media & social information that might be of value to you:
  • From Marketing Profs: "Social-network popularity is growing. So much that even TV is noticing. Major brands now list URLs not to their websites but to the social networks that they're on. "Look for us on Facebook" or "Follow us on Twitter" is becoming more widespread". Expect to see billboards, bumper stickers, and ads on TV with those familiar icons of social media.
  • Back to marketing and sales basics: visitors, leads, customer, measure. HubSpot has a short video to help remind us of closed loop marketing.
  • From the PRSA Digital Impact Conference, a session on social media and public relations: how to survive, cope, and advance from John Wall and Chris Penn of Marketing Over Coffee.
  • Help A Reporter Out (HARO) versus ProfNet: HARO is the free version of ProfNet.
