Q8 It depends. Would your audience be willing to pay for your program? #agchat

Q8 Cost recovery could include prof dev, equipment, travel, teaching tools/materials and research costs #agchat

ksfarmboy:
Q8 good question. With funding being reduced there has to be a equitible way to pay for extention. #agchat

CastAgScience:
Q8 ultimately someone has to absorb the cost, and it's hard to further develop a program when you're just cutting even #agchat

Q8 Sponsorship model has been quite successful in many Extension programs, but not well suited to all. #agchat

Q8 Good question and difficult. Some people won't come with a fee while others see more value in a program they pay for. #agchat

Q8 Not a given that fewer will come if charge more. Cost affects perceived value. Anyway, good #extension more than seat count. #agchat

Q8 We charge a fee to basically cover cost of materials for class, some programs charge more thn others... fees vary across counties #agchat

Q8 Bottom line - Extension needs additional funding sources or it will be gone. We can't rely gov. to fund. #agchat
